Brenoulli’s Principle

🇪🇸  Los alumnos de Primaria, grupos A y B hemos investigado en Science acerca de por qué las aves pueden volar. Hemos aprendido acerca de las características de estos animales y de los procesos físicos que intervienen. Así, hemos descubierto el principio de Bernoulli, que dice que un fluido, a mayor velocidad, ejerce menos presión y viceversa. Para aprenderlo y demostrarlo, hemos hecho cinco divertidos experimentos en el aula.

🇬🇧 In Science, we answered the question: How birds fly? We research about the characteristics of birds and other physical process. We discovered the Bernoulli's principle, that says that any fluid like air has less pressure if the speed is higher and more pressure if the speed is lower. That principle affects the bird's wings and let them fly. We demonstrate that principle with five funny experiments.

  🇬🇧 This morning we received the visit in our school @ceipalbaplata of Mark Levy and Mareen Mareen Mcalinden from British Council Spain and Francisco Javier Amaya, the Secretario General de Educación, Rufina Jiménez from Bilingual Programs of Consejería de Educación and Fátima Solís from Servicio de Inspección.

They visited the school and the classrooms to discover the fantastic work our students do everyday thanks to the BEP (Bilingual Education Programme) from @britishcouncil developed in our school.

Pancake Day 2022

 🇪🇸 Ayer celebramos en el cole Pancake Day una festividad tradicional británica relacionada con el Carnaval.

Nuestros alumnos han aprendido la receta, han cocinado tortitas y han hecho carreras de tortitas. Han disfrutado mucho.

🇬🇧 Yesterday we celebrated at school Pancake Day, a traditional British festivity related with Carnival. Our students learnt the recipe, they cooked pancakes and they ran pancakes races. They enjoyed a lot!

Reunión de coordinación de los centros British Council de Cáceres

 El viernes nos reunimos las coordinadoras y otras responsables de los Programas Educativos del British Council de la ciudad de Cáceres para intercambiar experiencias, ideas e inquietudes con respecto al programa.

Fue una reunión muy productiva y establecimos nuevas reuniones para seguir trabajando de forma coordinada.

Día de la Paz y la No Violencia 2022

 Este año hemos juntado dos celebraciones en nuestro colegio: Friendship Day (actividad relacionada con el programa British Council) y el Día de la Paz y la No Violencia.

Desde el área de Música y de Educación Física han trabajado una canción y un baile que han realizado todos los grupos del colegio.

Picasso - Guernica - Primary Years 4A and 4B

 🇬🇧 Our Year 4 students (groups A and B) made this colourful poster to celebrate Peace using a famous painting by Picasso symbolising Peace.

They designed it and coloured it together in Art lessons.
